1. LEED—The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design rating systems are a project of the U.S. Green Building Council. The certification recognizes features of a project that reinforce energy efficiency and low environmental impact.
2. ICC—The International Code Council develops codes and standards used by construction companies to ensure compliance on their projects.
3. IECC—The International Energy Conservation Code, created by the ICC, provides a set of standards concentrating on energy savings, resource conservation and environmental impact for the construction industry.
4. IgCC—Released last March by the ICC, the International Green Construction Code includes the input of government, academic and professional organizations and holds projects to sustainability standards from design to jobsite management.
