Princeton, NJ (January 08, 2013) – The Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA), a national non-profit professional association headquartered in Princeton, NJ, is pleased to announce that it raised $10,000 to donate to the Hurricane Sandy NJ Relief Fund. After Hurricane Sandy devastated the North East coast, CFMA created a fund of its own and began collecting money to donate to those affected by the disaster. CFMA also reached out to its 89 chapters across the U.S. and Canada to help with donations.
The $10,000 is the sum of funds donated by CFMA HQ ($5,750), the Southest Louisiana Chapter ($2,500), the Orange County Chapter ($1,500), and the Central Florida Chapter ($250). “As a non-profit organization who calls New Jersey ‘home,’ CFMA hopes this contribution will assist the Hurricane Sandy NJ Relief Fund in providing aid and comfort to New Jersey residents who suffered such immediate and immeasurable devastation at the hands of Hurricane Sandy,” said Stuart Binstock, President and CEO of CFMA.
Hurricane Sandy brought large-scale devastation to New Jersey at the end of October, destroying homes, businesses, and iconic landmarks. The Hurricane Sandy NJ Relief Fund is a private, independent charitable organization whose mission is to aid, comfort, and rebuild New Jersey.
Established in 1981, the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) is “The Source & Resource for Construction Financial Excellence” and the only non-profit organization dedicated to serving the educational needs of today’s construction financial professionals.
