NATIONAL (September 25, 2016) - Bragg Companies will host the fourth Lift & Move USA career event Wednesday, November 2 at its headquarters in Long Beach, California. Bragg Companies, which is one of the largest crane, rigging and specialized transport businesses in the USA, will welcome more than 750 high school students, military veterans, teachers and parents to the event.

Lift & Move USA promotes career opportunities in the crane, rigging and specialized transport industries and aims to inspire and educate the next generation of drivers, mechanics, welders, crane operators and riggers (ironworkers).

The careers program - an industry initiative that was launched last year - is building momentum, with a total of more than 1,100 students and veterans attending the three previous events in Chicago, Illinois, Houston, Texas and Graham, North Carolina. The event is jointly organized by Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association (SC&RA), the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO), and industry publisher KHL Group, owners of American Cranes & Transport magazine.

“We are pleased to host Lift & Move USA and are honored that we were selected as a host company for such an important event”, said Scott Bragg, CEO of Bragg Companies.

“It is vital that we reach out to the future generations of workers to be sure they realize that they can have an impact in our industry. There are many exciting careers within our trade; it would be a shame if we let the opportunity pass to introduce our young people to these interesting and rewarding careers,” said Bragg.

The event is free for students, parents, teachers and veterans, with industry representative paying a $150 registration fee. Attendees can register online at liftandmoveUSA.com. Teachers can register student groups by contacting the organizers.

The conference, which is organized in cooperation with SkillsUSA, the national organization that helps students prepare for careers in technical, skilled and service occupations, will provide attendees with an overview of job opportunities in the industry alongside personal testimonies from young people already working in the sector.

The event will promote career opportunities to the next generation of employees, highlighting all sorts of jobs, from crane operators, safety specialists, truck drivers, welders and CAD design engineers to mechanics.
