PHOENIX (April 15, 2025) — Graycor Construction Company has hired 30-year industry veteran Brett Helm as general manager of its Southwest Division. Part of Graycor’s senior leadership team, Helm is charged with leading the company’s regional talent pipeline and diversifying and expanding its presence across commercial real estate growth markets.

Based in Graycor’s Phoenix office, Helm will support an established warehouse and distribution portfolio while also actively seeking new opportunities in advanced manufacturing, semiconductors and retail — a strategy that has proven success for the firm in the Midwest and Southeast. With extensive experience in the advanced technology sector, he will also focus on strategic portfolio growth in the data center space and semiconductor projects.

Prior to joining Graycor, Helm spent more than two decades as a Project Executive for DPR Construction, followed by leadership roles at HITT Contracting, Gilbane Building Company, Clayco and Skansa.

Graycor sees Phoenix and the Southwest region as particularly ripe for data center expansion due to the relatively lower cost of power and the decreased threat of natural disasters. In addition to business development across sectors, Helm will also focus on talent development in the Southwest region.

In its more than three decades in the Southwest, Graycor has completed landmark projects including the recently completed Elliot Gateway industrial park in Mesa, Arizona; Rinchem chemical warehouses in Chandler and Surprise, Arizona; the 1.25 million-square-foot G303 for MLILY; and approximately 635,000 square feet within the SkyBridge Arizona master plan in Mesa, Arizona, slated to become a first-of-its-kind Unified Cargo Processing (UCP) facility.
