BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (June 9, 2014)— Cahaba Media Group is happy to announce that Kathryn Wells has assumed the role of editor of the company’s Construction Business Owner (CBO) magazine. Wells has an English degree from Auburn University with a concentration in technical and professional communication. She worked as a project manager for a commercial design firm for six years where she gained extensive editing experience. Wells has been employed with CMG since May 2013 and most recently held the position of associate editor of HomeCare and Senior Care Products magazines. “Kathy has earned valuable experience as the associate editor of HomeCare magazine,” said Cahaba Media Group VP of Editorial Michelle Segrest. “She demonstrated leadership, creativity and superb skills in working with our readers and advertisers.” CBO provides practical business management knowledge to owners of construction companies in the U.S. and beyond. The magazine provides valuable information on topics ranging from sales and banking relationships to bidding strategies and regulatory issues. “It is a thrill to have the opportunity to promote from within our talented group of editors here at Cahaba Media Group,” Segrest said. “Kathy earned this opportunity through her hard work and excellent results on HomeCare. She has fantastic, innovative ideas that will drive the Construction Business Owner brand forward. Construction Business Owner celebrates its 10th year of publication this summer, and we can’t wait to see the impact Kathy will have on the quality of content for this key industry magazine.” Founded in 2004, CBO has a BPA-audited circulation of more than 40,000 subscribers. In addition to CBO and numerous e-newsletters, Cahaba Media also produces HomeCare magazine as well as Pumps & Systems, Upstream Pumping Solutions and Pumps & Systems MENA, which will be launched October 2014 to serve the pump industry in the Middle East and North Africa region.
