NEW YORK (March 23, 2016) – Dodge Data & Analytics announced the acquisition of Vancouver, British Columbia-based data management firm Ingenium Technologies Corporation. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Integration of Ingenium’s ConstructionPoints family of products into the Dodge product portfolio will be immediate, as the two companies have worked closely together for 16 years.
“Big data is how business runs, and this deal is about making Dodge’s big data accessible across the construction industry. By integrating our data-driven content seamlessly into our customers’ workflow, we can help provide them with a sizable strategic advantage in generating top-line growth. Construction firms of all sizes need deep and early insight to win business and beat the competition; through ConstructionPoints News and ConstructionPoints for Salesforce we make big data quickly available and actionable to these firms,” said Mike Petrullo, CEO, Dodge Data & Analytics. “At Dodge, our mission is to partner with our customers to build a better world, and this deal demonstrates our commitment to deliver enhanced tools, applications, solutions, and actionable insights to the market and empower our customers to outpace their competitors.”
Ingenium began developing its software platforms in 1995; Dodge began a distribution partnership with the company in 2000. The companies share approximately 150 customers, among them the largest and most complex in the construction industry.
“Ingenium has long recognized Dodge’s leadership in construction market intelligence and content, and we have served North America’s leading building product manufacturers and other construction professionals in close concert. We are pleased to accelerate our service to the construction community with this transaction, which allows us to greatly enhance our delivery of the most effective, efficient, innovative solutions to our customers,” said Ingenium President Howard Evans.
Ingenium’s applications are widely used to deepen workflow integration of the information provided by Dodge, Industrial Information Resources (PEC), Dun & Bradstreet and other data sets. Its products include ConstructionPoints for Salesforce, the only dedicated Salesforce app for construction sales leads, which provides for automated integration of Dodge’s data sets directly into Salesforce; and ConstructionPoints News, which provides fully mobile Dodge data access for smartphones and tablets, integrated with Google Maps and providing custom alerts.
Dodge’s acquisition of Ingenium and ConstructionPoints follows closely its recent announcement of its strategic partnership with Global Product Data, LLC and the ensuing launch of Sweets app for Revit. This investment further solidifies Dodge’s position as the one-stop shop for workflow and software solutions that serve its customers’ need for data-driven intelligence.
