Dodge Center, Minnesota (April 17, 2018)–McNeilus Truck & Manufacturing Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation company, was recently honored with two industry awards for their Flex Controls system equipped on McNeilus concrete mixers. Flex Controls are now a “Top 100 New Products of 2017,” recognized by Construction Equipment magazine and a “2018 Most Innovative Product (MIP)” at World of Concrete by Hanley Wood.

The “Top 100 New Products of 2017,” recognized by Construction Equipment magazine were announced in early January. The award recognizes the system’s unique abilities in "consolidating monitoring on one screen”; delivering better control; and offering less variability in loading, mixing and delivering.
Established in 1991, Construction Equipment’s Top 100 New Products list is the longest running product recognition program in the construction equipment industry. Editors evaluate the products introduced over the previous year and choose those considered most innovative. The selection criteria include an advancement in technology, a new product line, a significant improvement to existing products or an increase in competition in its field.
Flex Controls was also honored as Expert’s Choice in Concrete Production & Delivery Equipment for the “2018 Most Innovative Product (MIP)” at World of Concrete. The win was announced last month in a press release by Hanley Wood.
Hanley Wood serves the information and marketing needs of the construction industry. The awards, presented annually in conjunction with the World of Concrete, showcase many products exhibited at the show. The MIP awards program allows industry insiders an opportunity to vote for the products they judge as innovative. Winners are also selected by a panel of industry experts, and by the editors of Concrete Construction and The Concrete Producer.
