ST. LOUIS (May 6, 2024) — Tarlton Corp., St. Louis’ largest women-owned general contracting and construction management firm, was named 2024 General Contractor of the Year by the American Subcontractors Association Midwest Council at the organization’s 31st Annual Awards Gala on April 20. The designation is voted on by members of the ASA Midwest Council.
Tarlton was a finalist in the category for the largest general contractor (based on annual sales volume) the previous four years and also won the award in 2023 and 2021.
“We highly value this honor because it is a reflection of how hard our team invests in our subcontractor partners each day on the jobsite to collaborate on our firm’s core values,” said Dirk Elsperman, Tarlton executive vice president and chief administrative officer.
The ASA seeks nominations each year from its membership based on general contractors’ bid ethics practices, equitable contact/purchase order agreements, safety policies and practices, payment practices, jobsite supervision, scheduling coordination, subcontractor and vendor relations and administrative procedures.
