MILWAUKEE (February 8, 2016) - The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) has won “Fastest 50” honors for three AEM-run exhibitions held in 2015:
- ICUEE-The Demo Expo
- World of Asphalt Show & Conference
- AGG1 Academy & Expo
Trade Show Executive magazine presents the awards to exhibitions that demonstrate the greatest percentage of growth show-to-show in net square feet of exhibit space, number of exhibitors and number of attendees.
AGG1, ICUEE and World of Asphalt all received a Fastest 50 designation for attendance and number of exhibitors, and AGG1 also won in the exhibit space category.
All three of the exhibitions have steadily increased in size and scope over the past several years, and all three achieved record-breaking attendance and exhibit numbers in 2015.
“Trade shows continue to serve as a critical venue to effectively connect buyers and sellers; our growth reflects our focus on providing quality events for attendees and exhibitors that deliver real business results and a memorable show experience,” stated Megan Tanel, AEM senior vice president of exhibitions and events. “We have a tremendous team and these awards are a direct result of their superior customer service.”
AEM owns ICUEE and has an ownership stake in World of Asphalt with the National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA) and National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association (NSSGA).
For all AEM-run shows, participants have a voice in show planning, costs are carefully monitored and revenues go back into industry services.
Industry collaboration is also a major factor for success, Tanel noted, especially AEM’s partnership with the association owners of AEM-produced exhibitions such as NAPA and NSSGA with World of Asphalt and AGG1.
Coming up in 2016, the World of Asphalt Show & Conference and the co-located AGG1 Academy & Expo will be held March 22-24 at the Music City Center in Nashville, Tennessee, targeting the aggregates, asphalt, pavement maintenance and traffic safety industries. The biennial ICUEE-The Demo Expo, also known as the International Construction & Utility Equipment Exposition, will next be held October 3-5, 2017, at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky. The show targets utilities and utility contractors in the electric, telecommunications/cable, natural gas, water and wastewater sectors.
