On Friday, Congress passed and President Donald Trump signed a historic $2 trillion economic stimulus package that will provide United States businesses and citizens with much-needed aid during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

NATIONAL—Soon after Boston, Massachusetts Mayor Marty Walsh ordered a halt on all construction in the city last week, three other Massachusetts cities followed suit: Cambridge, Chilmark, and West Tisbury.

NEW JERSEY (March 6, 2020)—The Dodge Momentum Index moved 1.8% lower in February to 148.7  from the revised January reading of 151.4. The Momentum Index, issued by Dodge Data & Analytics, is a monthly measure of the first (or initial) report for nonresidential building projects in planning, which have been shown to lead construction spending for nonresidential buildings by a full year.

WASHINGTON—The United States Department of Labor’s (DOL) Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has published “Guidance on Preparing Workplaces for COVID-19” to help companies respond in the event of coronavirus in the workplace. The guidance was developed in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS).
