(October 23, 2017) – The American Institute of Architects (AIA) is releasing the second part of the once-in-a-decade 2017 edition of the A201, design-bid-build family of documents for a total of 34 newly revised 2017 documents. This release includes updated versions of the Architect Scope documents and many of the frequently-used AIA forms.
WASHINGTON – The California Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board (OSHSB) unanimously voted to adopt the Iron Workers’ (IW) comprehensive safety standard updates for reinforcing steel and post-tensioning activities. California is the first state-approved OSHA plan to work with the IW to reform existing safety standards.

(October 17, 2017) – Skyward, a Verizon company, has been approved to give commercial drone operators instant access to controlled airspace with the Low Altitude Authorization and Notification Capability (LAANC) services from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The program will roll out this fall at Cincinnati International Airport (CVG), Reno (RNO), San Jose (SJC), and Lincoln (LNK) among others.
