Distribution center cuts delivery time to dealers

GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan (February 3, 2016) -The Engine Division of Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. was one of the industry’s early adopters of parts warehouse and delivery outsourcing, and the move to UPS logistics services several years ago has proven to be a major benefit to Kawasaki’s dealer network. The company has announced an expansion of its arrangement with UPS to include a new full service warehouse in Dallas, effective this month.

WASHINGTON (January 21, 2016) – The United States heavy equipment distribution industry loses at least $2.4 billion each year as a result of dealers’ inability to find and retain technically skilled workers. The figure, based on an estimated 9 percent of earnings foregone by American dealerships represented by Associated Equipment Distributors (AED), was included in a report released on Jan. 20 by The AED Foundation (AEDF).
