NEW YORK (July 11, 2017) – The Dodge Momentum Index took another step forward in June, increasing 1.1 percent to 141.1 (2000=100) from its revised May reading of 139.6. The Momentum Index is a monthly measure of the first (or initial) report for nonresidential building projects in planning, which have been shown to lead construction spending for nonresidential buildings by a full year.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (June 30, 2017) — Zweig Group recently facilitated WGI’s acquisition of Carl Walker Inc., a deal that gives the buyer a 12th business line, nearly 400 associates, and an important footprint in five new states: Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, North Carolina and Texas.

(June 20, 2017) — MMFX Steel Corporation announces that it has partnered with a business development representative in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean: José Santiago Aponte will work with MMFX to sell and develop projects in the region. Aponte brings nearly 20 years of experience in construction management for water, wastewater and road infrastructure projects; he also has pharmaceutical plant project experience.

MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. & ST. PAUL, Minn. (June 27, 2017) — Access: Supports for Living and 3M Personal Safety Division have expanded their partnership to begin production of the  full line of 3M PELTOR earmuffs for the military, law enforcement and commercial segments. Access employs severely disabled individuals, including disabled military personnel and veterans, to help with the assembly and packaging of hearing protection products.

NATIONAL (June 27, 2017)—A crane operator from Dawes Rigging & Crane Rental maneuvered the Link-Belt crane into place. The weight of the plane was transferred from its display pedestal to the crane’s extended boom. The pedestal’s bolts were released one by one. With the last, the aircraft lurched free, and was briefly airborne once again.
