WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (June 19, 2017) - The Steel Erectors Association of America announces that two individuals have received the 2017 Person of the Year award. They are Duke Perry, general manager of Bluearc Stud Welding, Braselton, Georgia, and Dave Brown Sr., regional sales manager of the Southeast Region for United Rentals.

RACINE, Wis. (June 19, 2017) - CASE Construction Equipment has awarded the $25,000 Dire States Equipment Grant to Quincy Township, Pennsylvania for replacement/repair work on the Old Forge Bridge. The bridge weight limits have been lowered each of the last five years due to its deteriorating condition, risking access to residents, as well as fire departments, ambulances, police and school busses.

MAUMEE, Ohio (June 19, 2017) – Dana Incorporated announced that it is providing driveshaft assemblies and gearboxes for the New York Wheel – which will be the world's tallest observation wheel. This attraction is currently under construction on the north shore of Staten Island in New York City and will stand 630 feet (192 meters) high when completed in early 2018.

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (June 15, 2017) – Briggs & Stratton Commercial Power continues to strengthen its longstanding relationship with SAE International and the Baja Collegiate Design Competition. The company has been the exclusive provider of engines for Baja SAE since the program began. This year marks the first time teams were provided a 10-gross-horsepower Vanguard commercial engine.

NEW YORK (June 7, 2017) – Following a dip in April, the Dodge Momentum Index advanced 4.0 percent in May to 139.1 (2000=100) from its revised April reading of 133.7. The Momentum Index is a monthly measure of the first (or initial) report for nonresidential building projects in planning, which have been shown to lead construction spending for nonresidential buildings by a full year.
