NEW YORK (November 7, 2017) – The Dodge Momentum Index rose in October, climbing 13.2 percent to 130.9 (2000=100) from the revised September reading of 115.6. The Momentum Index is a monthly measure of the first (or initial) report for nonresidential building projects in planning, which have been shown to lead construction spending for nonresidential buildings by a full year.

RACINE, Wis. (November 6, 2017) — Case Construction Equipment has extended its standard, full-machine warranty on all skid steers and compact track loaders to two years, 2,000 hours (up from one year, 1,000 hours). The new full-machine warranty applies to all models in both product lines, with skid steers ranging in operating capacity from 1,300 pounds up to 3,400 pounds, and compact track loaders rated from 2,700 pounds up to 3,800 pounds.

GRAND RAPIDS, Minn. — ASV Holdings Inc. announced it has received a new order from its largest rental customer for its compact track loaders (CTL) totaling approximately $2.0 million for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2017.

MILWAUKEE, WI (October 30, 2017) – Briggs & Stratton Corporation announced today that it will move production of its V-Twin Vanguard engines from a joint venture partnership in Japan to its existing manufacturing facilities in Statesboro, Georgia, and Auburn, Alabama. The increased production in North America will create approximately 50 new jobs at each of the facilities.

CALABASAS, Calif. – A construction teacher from Washington, an advanced manufacturing teacher from California and a marine systems technology teacher from New York are the first-place winners of the inaugural Harbor Freight Tools for Schools Prize for Teaching Excellence, Harbor Freight Tools for Schools announced today. NEW YORK (October 19, 2017) – The value of new construction starts in September soared 14% from the previous month to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $814.8 billion, according to Dodge Data & Analytics.

(October 18, 2017) – After 7 months of steady growth in the  demand for design services, the Architecture Billings Index (ABI) paused in September. As a leading economic indicator of construction activity, the ABI reflects the approximate 9 to 12 month lead time between architecture billings and construction spending.
