RACINE, Wis. (January 3, 2018) — CASE Construction Equipment has issued a call for entries for the 2018 Dire States Equipment Grant. Originally launched in 2016, this is the third year that CASE has offered the grant, which provides one winning community with $25,000 in free equipment use to help offset the costs of building or repairing a critical piece of local infrastructure.

NEW YORK (January 3, 2018) – Dodge Data & Analytics has been awarded a multi-year contract to continue providing data for United States Construction Projects Started to the U.S. Department of Commerce Census Bureau. The Dodge projects are a key input to the Nonresidential Construction Spending forecast that tracks the monthly value of Construction Put in Place.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (December 20, 2017)—The Equipment Leasing and Finance Association’s (ELFA) Monthly Leasing and Finance Index (MLFI-25), which reports economic activity from 25 companies representing a cross section of the $1 trillion equipment finance sector, showed their overall new business volume for November was $7.5 billion, up 17 percent year-over-year from new business volume in November 2016.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Census of 2016 Fatal Occupational Injuries reports there were 5,190 workplace fatalities in 2016, a 7-percent increase from 2015. The fatal injury rate also increased from 3.4 per 100,000 full-time equivalent workers in 2015 to 3.6 in 2016.

MELBOURNE (December 18, 2017) — Aconex Limited announced that it has entered into a binding Scheme Implementation Deed with Oracle for A$7.80 per share in cash. The transaction is valued at approximately A$1.6 billion (US$1.2 billion), net of Aconex cash. 

ROSEMONT, Ill. (December 15, 2017) – The American Concrete Pavement Association (ACPA) has presented its Sustainable Practices Recognition Award to Emery Sapp & Sons Inc. (an ACPA Member) and the Kansas Department of Transportation for their team effort in recognizing and prioritizing sustainable construction practices on the South Lawrence Trafficway (K-10) Project.

MIAMI, Fla. (December 14, 2017) – South Florida-based Two Roads Development has broken ground on Elysee Miami, making it the newest luxury condominium tower to rise in East Edgewater, one of the fastest-growing neighborhoods in Miami’s urban core. The 100-unit project, now rising at 788 NE 23rd Street along Biscayne Bay, is being developed in partnership with entities managed by New York-based investment firm DW Partners.

(December 21, 2017) — The ALL Family of Companies has made its inaugural sale as an authorized Kobelco dealer. Kelley Steel Erectors purchased a Kobelco CK800G-2 crawler crane from ALL and took delivery of the machine during a key ceremony at the ALL Crane yard in Cleveland, Ohio. The sale of the new Kobelco unit was one of several on which the two companies plan to collaborate.

SAUK CENTRE, Minn. (December 27, 2017) – Felling Trailers Inc. recently conducted its fifth annual online auction of an FT-3 drop deck utility trailer to benefit a nonprofit organization, Special Olympics Minnesota. To close the chapter on this year’s story, Felling Trailers Inc. presented the donation checks to two Special Olympics Teams, Special Olympics Golden Eagles and Young Athletes teams.

SAN DIEGO (December 12, 2017) – In keeping with an 18-year-old Christmas holiday tradition, all 50 employees of Cavignac & Associates, a San Diego-based risk management firm, donated gifts of hope and cheer to those less fortunate in the community, giving a combined $18,000 out of their own paychecks to 11 local nonprofit organizations.

PLYMOUTH, Mich. (December 12, 2017) — An affiliate of Stratford-Cambridge Group (SCG) has acquired Custom Equipment LLC (Custom) headquartered in Richfield, Wisconsin, with an additional manufacturing facility in West Bend, Wisconsin.

NAPLES, Fla. (November 27, 2017) – EHC Inc. has started the development of the Springs at Port Charlotte in Port Charlotte and Helms Road in South Labelle. In addition, EHC completed Tuscola in North Port, 16 miles of I-75 improvements in Sarasota and Charlotte Counties, and SR 84/Davis Boulevard in Collier County.

GRAND RAPIDS, Minn. (November 30, 2017) — ASV Holdings Inc. has added National First Equipment LLC to its dealer network. The Berea, Ohio-based center rents, sells and services a variety of used compact construction equipment, including skid steers, mini excavators, wheel loaders, dozers and backhoes.

ADDISON, Texas (December 4, 2017) — Daseke Inc. announced that three additional carriers have joined Daseke, strengthening its position as a transformative force in the industrial goods trucking industry.

The three top-tier flatbed and specialized carriers added to Daseke’s family of companies are Tennessee Steel Haulers & Co. (TSH & Co.), The Roadmaster Group and Moore Freight Service.

COMMERCE CITY, Col. (December 1, 2017) – Epiroc AB, the subsidiary of Atlas Copco Group that is planned to be listed on the stock exchange in 2018, has begun operating as an independent business. It is providing customers in mining, infrastructure and natural resources with market-leading products and services.
